More Than Just a Therapist.
Here, clinical expertise meets deep, empathetic listening to support women through the complexity of change.
Science, Soul, and Safety.
Hello, I'm Sally
I believe the menopausal transition is one of the most profound physical and emotional shifts a woman will ever go through. Yet, so often, we are told to simply “get on with it.”
My practice was born out of my own experience.
I’ll be honest: I was caught off guard by the intensity of the change. While I was bracing for hot flushes, I was entirely unprepared for the other symptoms I experienced. The baffling brain fog, the sudden hijacking of my mood, crippling headaches and a genuine sense of being a stranger in my own body. I felt as though I was going mad.
Consulting with a menopause specialist and beginning HRT was a vital first step, but it also prompted me to look deeper into the underlying science of what is happening to a woman during perimenopause. The 10-15 years before menopause is diagnosed. Through my own research, I began to understand the neurochemical reality of this transition: how the decline in oestrogen leaves the nervous system unbuffered, making us significantly more reactive to cortisol and stress.
The Path to Professional Bodywork
I completed my Level 4 Diploma in Holistic Massage with the Massage Training Institute (MTI) at the Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork (BCMB).
While the training is grounded in comprehensive study of Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology, it became clear that any effective professional practice must begin with the nervous system and a sense of emotional safety.
Understanding the role of the Vagus Nerve is central to this: if the body does not feel safe, it cannot move into a state where it can begin to do its own work of repair.
My goal and my passion is to provide a space where women feel truly safe, seen and supported; helping you reclaim your confidence, strength and a sense of ownership over your body during this transition.”

The Clinical Foundation & Philosophy
During my final qualification, I chose to focus my Client Study Group specifically on women navigating perimenopause and menopause, carrying out over 50 hours of clinical consultations and treatments. A clear pattern emerged: while women initially sought relief for physical aches and musculoskeletal tension, their most pervasive symptoms were those of a dysregulated nervous system.
Being able to hold that space and explain that their experience was a normal physiological response to hormonal changes was profound. It moved the conversation from “what is wrong with me?” to “how can I support my evolving body?“
I do not view massage as a superficial fix or an occasional luxury: it is a sophisticated, evidence based tool for Nervous System Regulation. My work is specifically designed to help your nervous system move out of survival mode into the restorative parasympathetic mode in which the body is able to initiate its own healing mechanisms.
